Hometown: I was born in Hartford, Conn. but grew up in Miami, FL

Age: 38

Hobbies or Interest outside of CrossFit: I was part of the Naples Hammerhead (Rugby Team), but school has had me pretty tied up for the last two years.

How long have you been at CFTB: I originally joined back in 2010 and was at CFTB for about three years but I recently returned about four or five months ago.

Favorite WOD or movements: I enjoy anything that I am not good at.

Tell us about your fitness journey: I have been involved with sports since I was a young boy: started playing Jai-alai (8 years old); then basketball (11-14 years old); then football (14-21 years old) and finally, rugby (22-35 years old).

How has your fitness journey changed since joining CFTB? My fitness since I joined CFTB has improved dramatically, I still have a long way to go, but feel like a completely different person. I mean that in a good way.

Favorite memory at CFTB: Working out without power after Hurricane Irma.

Any advice for new members or people thinking about trying CrossFit: Don’t think twice about it, it is hard at first but does not get any easier and that is the part you will begin to enjoy most.

Tuesday 8/3/17

Strength: Pull up 21’s
2 sets, scale as needed with goal of completing unbroken, rest several minutes between sets.

WOD: For time, 18 min cap
Run 800m
Then: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

Accessory: 5 x 3 breaths / side
Quadraped T-spine rotation
Child’s pose lat stretch

Monday 10/2/17

Strength: Back Squat 21’s
2 sets, aim for 55% on first set and then adjust by feel

WOD: 30, 20, 10 (15 min cap)

DB Snatch (55/35)
Box Jumps (24/20)
*must bear crawl 50 feet between stations (5 x 50′ bear crawls for full WOD)

Accessory: 3 x 30 sec ea

Box hip flexion stretch (knee to chest)
Box pigeon stretch
Box adductor stretch
